From Nancy's website:
President Bush must unequivocally denounce Pat RobertsonÂs outrageous call for the United States to assassinate the President of Venezuela.
At a time when the invasion of Iraq has caused such damage to the international reputation of the United States, the last thing we need is a prominent Republican advocating assassination as a foreign policy tool. President Bush must respond to the Robertson statement forcefully to make clear that his Administration not only understands the reasons why our law prohibits assassination, but is committed to following the law.
It almost goes without saying, but how on earth is Bush responsible for anything anyone says besides himself or hisadministrationn? This is a newly pathetic attempt by Democrats (Pelosi, in general) to make Bush appear responsible for an obviously poorly considered statement by Pat Robertson.
Why, I wonder, didn't I think of it before? I think that John Kerry and Nancy Pelosi should make a public apology for this treasonous statement by our own Michael Moore from April 4 of 2004:
The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not "insurgents" or "terrorists" or "The Enemy." They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win.
I'll be waiting for Pelosi's condemnation of Michael Moore... but she's about as responsible for his stupidity as Bush is responsible for Robertson's.
