According to CBS, Americans are increasingly turning against our involvement in Iraq. At the same time, when Republicans force Democrats to vote on their withdrawal proposals, the measures are overwhelmingly defeated by large bipartisan majorities. This, CBS describes, is a Karl-Rove-orchestrated manuever (I'm not kidding, they showed his picture and everything) to score political points in an election year. This is even more ironic because the media is fond of reporting (accurately) the wide gap between this White House and the Congress...Republicans aren't taking cues from W. or Rove. And if Members of Congress were following news reports about public opinion of Iraq, they would probably be voting for withdrawal (aka "redeployment").
Does it seem like the media is obviously taking sides?
