Yes, you can get a doctorate in something you know absolutely nothing about. See Al Gore, who may get a doctorate in Climatology from the University of Minnesota.
Not only would this belittle the practice of honorary degrees and the University of Minnesota in general, it would "prove" that repeating a lie enough times makes it the truth.
And makes you a doctor.
