Two Americas

Not in my backyard!

John Edwards, famous for his belief in "two Americas" seems to have failed to pass that memo to his wife. In an interview this week she called her neighbor who she has never met but "wouldn't be nice to" regardless a "rabid, rabid Republican" because he chased someone off of his property with a handgun. Mrs. Edwards thinks that the gentleman has left his property next to the Edwards' posh 28,000 square foot mansion "slummy" in order to make her upset.

"I have to budget. I have to live within my means," Johnson [the rabid Republican] said. "I don't have millions of dollars to fix the place."

Indeed. Irony meter - again off the scale. It seems some people really don't get it.
