Today, the Washington Post runs with a story titled "Filibuster Rule Change Opposed." From their poll data, you can see that the public opposes changing the Senate filibuster rules by a margin of 2 to 1. However, if you dig a bit deeper, as do the gentlemen at Powerline, you'll see that the poll data from the Post's own website shows that 35% of the poll respondents were Democrats, while 28% were Republicans.
Further, the question the poll asked was this, "Would you support or oppose changing Senate rules to make it easier for the Republicans to confirm Bush's judicial nominees?" While some believe this is what's going on, it's not exactly an objectively worded question - my high school government class taught me that much.
