I saw a surprisingly good movie lately, Walk the Line. It's all about Johnny Cash, of course, but I was pleasantly surprised about his life story. He was on drugs for a good portion of his life, but the move was excellent.
Furthermore, it expanded my knowledge of Johnny Cash beyond Ring of Fire and A Boy Named Sue. I went out and got The Legend of Johnny Cash, and it is a really good CD. I highly recommend both.

Although I have been dying to see the movie, Sport expanded MY knowledge of the Man in Black via "Legend" and "The Man Comes Around." Coincidentally, the only MP3's I owned were Ring of Fire and A Boy Named Sue previous to this semester, but now I thoroughly enjoy the likes of I Walk The Line, Folsom City Blues, The Wanderer, Highway Man, and Rusty Cage on a daily basis. Actually, Slowpitch and I were just discussing his music the other day (and yes, Nate, The Streets of Laredo is excellent). Nice to see this made your blog, particularly right before my trombone vignette made sweeps after closing with Ring of Fire...
