Breast Cancer

Hello all. This post will diverge from my current content topic, but it is nonetheless "on my mind."

Breast cancer is something that will affect nearly 1 in 3 women in the United States over their lifetime. An estimated 212,920 new cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed in the US this year.

Recently, mrs. radar and I have been affected by breast cancer, and mrs. radar is going to do something about it.

If you haven't heard of the 3-Day, it is a yearly event where thousands upon thousands of individuals raise money and walk 20 miles a day for 3 days in cities all over the country in support of breast cancer research. From Boston to San Diego, these women gather pledges and donations from family, friends, and complete strangers to support the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in their crusade to eradicate breast cancer.

mrs. radar is participating in the 3-Day walk in San Diego on November 10-12, 2006. Please, if you are able, consider donating to her walk and do your part to help eliminate breast cancer. Thank you.
