Since one of my hobbies is Star Trek, and I never seem to take the time to write about anything but politics, I'd like to take this time to update you on some new Star Trek goodies.
First, Star Trek XI is on it's way up - with JJ Abrams at the helm. Rumors abound on both sides - will it be a "reboot" with no loyalty whatsoever to the original fans? Or will it have Bill Shatner and Leonard Nimoy back to introduce it as a flashback? We'll have to wait and see...
Also, much to my surprise and delight, it seems that CBS and Paramount are re-releasing the original episodes and digitally remastering them. New special effects, new music, and fixed visual gaffes will be the mainstay of this HD-capable remix of the original show - awesome!
