Newsbusters reminds us of what the media refuses to report - that Bush and his administration has succeeded in their promise to cut the federal deficit in half - and have done it three years before they said they would. Indeed, with tax cuts, Katrina, and Iraq, the Bush financial team has succeeded in chopping the deficit in half - and if tax revenues continue to increase it can be estimated that there will be a federal surplus by the end of fiscal year 2009.
Don't expect to see this in the papers.
