The Frightening Muslim Oppression of Women, Part II

In a previous post, I commented on the frightening reality of the reasoning for women in Islam to cover themselves.

Today in the Washington Post the writers give a terrorist apologist open season to promote her radical views.

Yvonne Ridley, after being captured by the Taliban in Afghanistan and forced to convert to Islam, now wrote an article on how Muslim women forced to cover themselves under pain of death is actually more feminist and liberal than the way women dress in the west.

What?

As we know, and know well, women are forced to cover themselves in Islam not to prevent themselves from being judged for their appearance - as Yvonne Ridley claims - but instead to prevent Islamic men from sexually lusting for a woman besides their wife. In Islam, men have no moral codes of which to uphold themselves - if a women reveals too much of her appearance and man cannot be held responsible for exercising sexual violence over her.

Shame on this forced convert to spread these lies. Shame on the Post for happily projecting it on the world. And shame on the rest of us if we believe these lies.
