Leakers

The AP is announcing that the Republican chairman of the House Intelligence Community Peter Hoekstra has suspended a Democratic staff member. He accuses the staff member of leaking a portion of the National intelligence Estimate on Iraq to the NY Times. His evidence? The staff member requested the document from National Intelligence Director John Negroponte three days before it was on the front page of the Times. Coincidence?

Democrats are beginning their typical whining, saying that there is no basis for the staffer's removal.

However, John Hinderaker at Powerline doesn't really care. In his opinion, whether Democrat staffers, Democrat lawmakers, Democrat military officials, or Democrat CIA personnel leak documents to Democrat "journalists" at the Times is really of little consequence. However, and it goes without saying, all of these people should be without their jobs.
