Winners!

I haven't thought much about the State of the Union speech last night. The reason for this is because I thought that it was good, but not earth shattering at all. Unless you get all of your news from CNN or CBS you're going to be aware of everything Bush was talking about. Although Paula Zahn thinks that Bush is already a "lame duck president" (this is why I don't watch CNN) Bush did have a lot to say that wasn't able to be filtered by the media.

My favorite part of the speech was when the Democrats unilaterally showed what they stand for.

Congress did not act last year on my proposal to save Social Security-

Whoo-hoo!! We are the Democrats and we blocked Social Security reform!! Yea!!

Didn't it sound like Bush was then scolding a disobedient child?

-yet the rising cost of entitlements is a problem that is not going away.

True. So why is it the Democrats cheer at their ability to stop needed legislation? Because they are the party of mindless opposition. Congratulations.
