Is it a gaffe if you are too stupid to realize it?

I truly feel bad for John Kerry. While claiming that the President is in a "state of denial," John Kerry's attempts to influence the election have sunk to all new lows. After my repeated attempts to get him to stop talking for his own good, he has gone ahead and dropped another ridiculous statement into the arms of the awaiting press - two statements, actually.

In the first, poor John tosses out a Michael Moore talking point:

"You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."

Oh, John, you know full well that the educational levels and demographics of our troops is the same as that of America. Michael Moore also tried to push this "uneducated, and mostly black" lies about the makeup of the US military. It seems that John is clueless of the damage his statement will do to his party, and is also oblivious to the fact that it insults every member of our armed forces, including the two of my close friends that serve, and (consequently) graduated from college.

Not to finish on that low, John responded to harsh criticism from his party, John McCain, and the White House:

"This is the classic GOP playbook," Kerry said in a harshly worded statement. "I'm sick and tired of these despicable Republican attacks that always seem to come from those who never can be found to serve in war, but love to attack those who did. I'm not going to be lectured by a stuffed suit White House mouthpiece standing behind a podium."

The vitriol in this statement is disgusting enough, in addition to Kerry's ignorance/indifference to calling John McCain, who was a Vietnam veteran and POW, a "stuffed suit."

John Kerry is truly turning out to be the worst the left can offer. Following in the footsteps of Al Gore, his election loss to George W. Bush has sent him completely off the ledge of reason and discipline. Loony lefties like John Kerry think that if they make comments like the one above it will help the Democrats in the election. That couldn't be further from the truth.

UPDATE: John's stupid comments have really made their mark. Indeed, the Democrats are running in droves to condemn his idiotic rant against the US military. Others are cancelling Kerry appearances all over the country - no one wants to be near him right now. Oh, and some servicemen in Iraq have a message for John.
