It Boggles the Mind

I really don't understand the argument of scientists who believe in man-made global warming. I don't. Here you have a scientist (Bob Correll) that says:

"The oceans in the Northern Hemisphere are the warmest they've been on record," says Correll. "When they get up in that temperature, they spin off hurricanes. The one thing we can say with a fairly high degree of confidence is the severity of the storms' these cyclonic events like hurricanes and cyclones they're going to be more severe."

Wrong.

1) Any idiot (me) can add up the number and severity of hurricanes since such things have been recorded and see that neither the severity or frequency have increased. They haven't. Period.

2) The NOAA (definitely not a bunch of idiots) have said repeatedly that the cycle of strength and severity of hurricanes is natural and is a repeating pattern.

I really can't understand it.
